conviction at it's finest

Saw this video earlier 2nite, and it really struck me. Watch it and then hit the comment section up to discuss.

"how much do you have to hate somebody to NOT proselytize. how much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible... and NOT tell them that."

how much more convicting can you get? this outspoken atheist man... with such an outlet in the entertainment world... coming right out with it. such truth behind his words... how can we as Christians claim what we believe, and not turn around and act upon it by reaching out to our friends, family, coworkers, etc etc???

I agree with all of your comments and i'd also like to mention soemthing that the man focused on quite frequently. He kept sayin, "he looked me right in the eyes" he repeated that at least twice. and then said it in many other different ways.

He was struck by how genuine this man was. He saw that this man genuinely had something that he genuinely wanted to share. I was very surprised to hear how obvious it was to the atheist that he was actually interested in him. It just goes to show you how obvious it is when you are not being genuine or you do not genuinely believe or genuinely follow after God.

yes definitely. you could really see the gears turning every time he paused to think.... or when he repeated something, showing how much the little things stood out to him about how this man carried himself

Man, I'm so used to going into defensive mode whenever I come across an atheist. This time, though, I can't pull out some devastating argument to defend my faith. I just have to sit quietly, take to heart what he said, and realize how bad I've screwed up.
