friends til the end?

Consistent friendships are not something to overlook... I truly appreciate them.

Also makes me wonder what happened to put distance between past friendships thats used to be so tight, if not seemingly unbreakable...... "that's just life", as 'they' may say.... but it's still such a bummer...

But then again, maybe I'm to blame for not keeping up my end of the deal in some cases? I just don't know...

I think it goes both ways. It is just hard to keep up with everyone, with demands of life let along physical location, et cetera.

I thought that with us for a while, as I have told you, and I think we are still close even though we don't see each other often, which is sad because of our proximity.

I too look back at past friendships and regret the drifting that has occurred. Mostly it's just from folks moving, or heading different directions after school, not really because of any bitterness or hatred. Like Brian said, it's hard to keep up with everyone. I mean, I've known you, Jake for over 10 years. Could you imagine if I still hung out with everyone I've been friends with since then? Chill sessions at Aroma's would fill the entire place!

But for all the friends that have gone, a new one has taken his or her place. I guess we have to be grateful for the good times that were shared, and enjoy the people that are currently in our lives.

In closing, some wise words from the Golden Girls theme song:

Thank you for being a friend.
Travel down the road and back again.
Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant.
And if you threw a party,
invited everyone you knew.
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
and the card attached would say,
thank you for being a friend.
